The story, by itself, is about a troubled man (white, hispanic?) acting out his personal fears through an act of violence on a (possibly) troubled young black man. The bigger question is whether justice (whatever the outcome may be of the actions of the justice system) is done and perceived to be appropriate by what is now a world-wide audience – for the good of America.
